2022 Right Royal Fun Day
THE FUN DAY RETURNS and we are going to have a Right Royal Fun Day !!

Our annual Fun Day returns after 2 years absence due to Covid.
Due to the Town Centre Redevelopment we are unable to have our Town Centre Bunting, Bollard Competition and Parade this year but everything else is much the same as it was before.

Post Office returns to Alva
Congratulations and thank you to Budgens of Alva on the opening of their Post Office service earlier today.
We wish you a long and successful future in Alva.
Alloa Half Marathon – Road Closures
🚗 ROAD CLOSURES 🚗
Road closures for the race (Sunday 20th March) are as follows:
8.30am-1pm: Tullibody Road closed at Lornshill Academy. Use A907 (Alloa Road) as alternative.
9am-10.30am: Tullibody Road / A907 / A908 (Whins Road) – rolling road closures and will be re-opened as soon as last runners pass.
9am-10.45am: A908 northbound through Sauchie to Fishcross
9am-11.00am: A908 Fishcross to Devonside (Closed both ways)
9am-11.30am: A91 westbound from Tillicoultry to Menstrie (ONLY WEST BOUND – ALL TRAFFIC TO MAKE TRAVEL EAST BOUND TO LEAVE THEIR TOWNS)
9am-11.45am: C101 closed both ways (Menstrie Brae)
7am-12.30pm: B9140 Tullibody Bypass (Eastbound)
9am-12.30pm: B9096 Eastbound from junction at Menstrie Road to Lornshill Academy.
Those attending the event are reminded that there is no parking at the Lornshill Academy and at Alloa Town Hall. There is, however, plenty of parking around Alloa Town Centre that is free and a shuttle bus will be in operation.

Inverallan Limited will now be working alongside Magdalena Stachera to assist with the collection of donations to help the Ukraine refugees going to Poland & those fighting for their country . The list of donations required will be updated and pinned to the top of this page for ease of reference. NEW ALVA POST OFFICE INFORMATION
Overview
Following the temporary closure of Alva Post Office, we introduced a temporary Mobile Service whilst we found a permanent solution. We are now delighted to let you know that we will be re-opening the branch on Tuesday 22 March 2022 at 13:00. This will be in a new location – Budgens, 52-54 East Stirling Street, Alva, Stirling, FK12 5HA. The current temporary Mobile Service which is located at Alva stop, 102 Stirling Street, Alva, FK12 5EH will therefore cease service on Friday 18 March 2022 at 14:00.
Your new Post Office branch
Customers would access Post Office services at a low-screened, open-plan, modern serving point that’s part of the retail counter. Working with the postmaster, we’d adapt the current store layout, fixtures and fittings to accommodate the Post Office till if needed.
The branch will offer a range of Post Office products and services over longer opening hours, so customers can access their Post Office when it’s convenient. Customer satisfaction with local style branches is high, and many local branch customers visit outside traditional opening hours.
We have provided posters for display in the new location to let customers know the good news.
We are keen to restore services to this community as soon as possible so we are now progressing with these plans. However, we would welcome suggestions about specific aspects of the change that might benefit customers, particularly on access into the premises and its internal layout.
