We know it’s still October but in order to avoid clashing with other local events the Alva Christmas Fayre is just around the corner on Sat 17th November and the clock is ticking.

Planning and Building Standards Closedown

The Council will shortly be changing its Planning and Building Standards IT software provider and, consequently, there will be a short internal closedown period during which time we will be unable to receive, validate, register or update any new or current applications. The closedown period will take place from 10:00am on Thursday, 25 October until Monday, 5 November.

During this period, you can continue to submit planning and building warrant applications through the e-Development portal but any applications submitted will be held in a queuing system until after the closedown period.

If you are submitting applications and/or revised information in paper format, these will also be queued and validated in order of date received.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. REMINDER OF FIRST BUS NEW TIMETABLE FROM TODAY

First Bus have made changes to the local bus timetable which came into effect today

NEW SERVICE:51 & 52
Replaces service 54/54A between Stirling and Cowie replaces service 62/63 between Stirling and Hillfoots.
New cross city links from Cowie, Whins of Milton and Braehead to Causewayhead, Tullibody and Alloa.

Frequency reduced to every 30 minutes on each route.

New service 51 route – Cowie – Bannockburn – Whins of Milton – Broomridge – Braehead – Stirling – Causewayhead Corner – Tullibody – Alloa.

New service 52 route – Stirling Bus Station – Causewayhead Corner – Wallace Monument – Stirling University (rear entrance) – Menstrie – Alva – Tillicoultry – Coalsnaughton – Fishcross – Sauchie – Alloa.

From Monday 10th September Stirling and Clackmannanshire Service Changes will come into effect. Please note that the changes to our UniLink service comes into effect from Saturday September 8th.  We want to make sure you're prepared for these changes before travelling with us so their  page will be updated with all the information.
